When the Warrior Run Task Force solicited input from the residents of the community back in the early 1990s, the number one concern was emergency services. Soon after this survey was conducted the WRCC was formed The WRCC decided to act on the number one concern of the community. Russell Guthrie mediated a meeting with the leaders of the fire departments in the Warrior Run Community that included the Allenwood, McEwensville, Turbotville, and Watsontown fire departments. It was widely accepted that consolidation was the way to provide services and the leaders began to solicit input from their respective fire departments. State Representative Merle Phillips secured a one million dollar grant. Fire Board members were selected. The Fire Chief was appointed. The Administrative Chief was appointed. And that's where we are today.
The Warrior Run Area Fire Department was formed in 1990s. The Warrior Run Area Fire Department serves Watsontown, Allenwood, Dewart, McEwensville, Turbotville and Delaware, Gregg and Lewis Townships. They field an average of 1250 calls per year. The company is comprised of 3 Pumpers, 1 Ladder, 2 Tankers, 2 Brush Units, 3 Ambulances, and a Heavy Rescue. The station in Watsontown is now known as Headquarters. Campbell Supply would like to thank the Warrior Run Area Fire Department for their continued customer loyalty.
