American LaFrance, LLC and Campbell Supply Co., LLC Correspondence
Dear Friends and Customers,

I am sure many of you were informed, as I was, on Monday, January 28, 2008 when American LaFrance, LLC filed for Chapter 11, voluntary bankruptcy. I have been speaking with many of you over the past year on possible new apparatus purchases, some of you are existing customers and others of you are just friends and esthetic fans of the ALF Product. The rumor mill is in full swing on this and a lot of what is being said is not factual. Those of you who know me well know that I do not spread rumors or speak unfavorably about my competition, never did, never will. I feel you deserve to have the most current and correct information that I can provide.

Over the next 90 days ALF, LLC will undergo a major restructuring which will include downsizing the company to a more manageable size. This unfortunately will include the closing of the Sanford, Florida Ambulance and Rescue facility and discontinuation of the Medic Master Product line. In 90 days ALF will reemerge from bankr ... more

June 23, 2007. The Kenilworth, NJ Fire Department under the command of Fire Chief Lou Giordino, donated their 1970 American LaFrance quint to the American LaFrance museum in Ladsen,SC.
The apparatus was replaced in 1997 and since then had been kept in a warehouse to keep it from being disposed of. Recently the warehouse proprietors changed hands and as a result the truck had to be taken out of the facility. The Kenilworth Fire Department, still not wanting to send the truck to the junkyard, decided to find it a home at the museum. The truck is a Series 1000 model, has a diesel engine, a 1000 gpm pump, 300 gallon water tank, 3000 watt portable generator and an 85 foot three section aerial ladder.
The apparatus will be driven to the museum by Campbell Supply Company, LLC. who is the American LaFrance dealer for the state.
