| CAMPBELL SUPPLY DELIVERS THE FIRST CRIMSON AERIAL IN THE STATE |

The Jersey City Fire Department has received a Spartan Gladiator/Crimson 103 foot aerial ladder, the first in the state. It is assigned to Ladder 11. It has a Detroit, Series 60, 515 hp diesel engine. It has a 5 kw generator and a new thermal imaging camera. Campbell Supply is also in the process of prepping the second aerial in the state, a Spartan Gladiator/Crimson 103 foot aerial for the City of East Orange Fire Department. Both aerials were sold by Campbell Supply Company, LLC. The Crimson Star Series aerial ladder is stainless steel construction and is manufactured in Lancaster, PA. The aerial has a 500 pound tip load while flowing up to 1000 gpm. It features a Tor-Max body structure which eliminates flex and twists in material causing less stress and fatigue. Their exclusive Vibra-Torq body mount system allows the body to float above the chassis reducing vibration and stress. A patented roller assembly system reduces friction and stress and eliminates the need to grease the ladder rails. The innovative X-Style outrigger leveling system allows the apparatus to level on slopes up to 15 degrees and handle setups on severe terrain. A patented lift cradle positions the ladder closer to the ground so that tool/equipment exchange at the tip of the ladder can be made safer. It also allows the ladder to lower to a negative 10 degrees for low-angle operating.
